WIPs...

Gosh, it's been a while since my last blog! Truth be told I haven't had an awful lot to blog about.
At the moment I'm working on a few WIPs, but I seem to have lost my mojo. What is everyone working on right now? I'm thinking about Christmas, thinking about trying some ideas out for presents, and thinking about that stash of Yvestown yarn. But what I'm NOT thinking about is the yarn is my current basket! I've neglected sewing, put down my paintbrush and seem to have lost all will. I just need some inspiration! The grey, rainy days have dampened my spirits. Perhaps I am a summer person after all?

Anyway, here is the main project I'm working on at the moment. It's a new ripple- an autumnal ripple. I started with a BANG! And now I'm about 70 % done and cannot be bothered. I've also started knitting a beautiful orange moss stitch cowl, and haven't picked my needles up in weeks. I have some fabulous new (old) fabrics too and just cannot be bothered to stitch.

The books I normally turn to are causing me some anti-inspiration at the mo. Could I make these? Probably. Can I read Japanese? No. Sigh. So I put my hook down and dream up patterns in my head I can't motivate myself to make. One day soon there will be three new patterns up on the blog. If I ever get around the making them!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to some more reading this week and I'm hoping by the weekend I can get my mojo back and finish off these projects!

Wish me luck.

  1. Your autumnnal ripple is BEAUTIFUL! Have you managed to get any more done? I hate the colours in my ripple blanket so I can't motivate myself to carry on with it, but won't let myself start another crochet project til it's done! Hope you found your mojo :)
